[The feed opens with very shaky camera work, because Mabel is currently circling Dipper and zooming in and out erratically. Dipper, of course, is being all serious and stuff and has his nose buried in his Trainer Handbook. He's sitting on a bench somewhere in New Bark Town and Mabel is sufficiently bored.]

Mabel, cut it out—

What? You said we need to document everything, so I'm documenting!

[She switches to a fake Australian accent, zooming in close to Dipper's face.]

Croikey! Lookee what we got 'ere! A wild Dipper in 'is natural habitat. I wonder what'll happen if we poke it?

[She drops the accent and pokes Dipper repeatedly.]

Poke fight!

[Dipper frowns indignantly, pushing Mabel's Gear away with his hand.]

Seriously, Mabel, I'm trying to read.

[She pouts and climbs up on the bench and films from above.]

Come on, Dipper. You've read that thing like five times now.

I just want to make sure we know what we're doing before we wander off into the wilderness, okay?

[At this point, Mabel starts singing. Belting, really. And dancing. On the bench. The camera's pretty much all over the place with her crazy jiving.]

WE'LL MAKE IT THROUGH THE WILDERNESS, I KNOW WE'LL MAKE IT THROUGH OOH OOH! I DON'T KNOW THE REST OF THE WORDS DO DO DO DO DO DO!

Random dance party, yeah!

[Except it's really just Mabel dancing to the New Bark Town music. She's done documenting for now because Dipper's being Lamey McLameShorts. Be prepared for threadjacking!]

[Dipper sighs and smiles a little. Bit of an ego boost and also a ray a hope, awesome twin is awesome.]

[Deep exaggerated breath goes here. He shoves the 3 Book back into his vest.]

Well, guess we have to make the best of this. Maybe there are clues on the way on how to get home!

[Mabel grins and shrugs.]

[Oh, but now she looks really excited.]

And that lady did say we're supposed to go on a journey! Maybe we just have to get to the end and then we can go home! I'm sure Grunkle Stan can live without us for a while, he's lived this long.

[Dipper laughs, and the new hope that has been brought to him sparkles and yeah okay he's basically feeling better best twin, seriously. Grunkle Stan probably wouldn't notice they were gone for a while.]

Yeah yeah yeah! We just have to think of it like a game!

[EXCITE.]

Hmm...think that would mean we'd have to win something? I mean, you don't just walk through Fight Fighters without having to punch a few guys.

[He grimaces, too many punchy memories attached to that last statement.]

[Mabel punches the air with her fist and then proceeds to slap Dipper on the back.]

Yeah! That's the spirit!

[Then she gives him a confident smirk.]

But don't worry, I'll take care of the punching, you just take care of... well, everything else, I guess. Unless there're mini games! I'm the best at mini games!

[WOO HOO AND AW YEAHS ALL AROUND. But then wait no sudden stop in the Dipper Party Mode. Logic has shot him in the celebrain again.]

Wait, then why do we have these guys?

[He picks up his Togepi and fidgets his arms to adjust to holding a giant egg with a living creature lodged inside of it.]

I have this egg thing and you have a bouncing pig. I read that we're supposed to battle with them but...I dunno, doesn't that seem a little weird to you?

[Mabel blinks and attempts to think about this for a moment. But, you know, logical thinking isn't really Mabel's forte, so she just shrugs.]

Maybe it's just part of the game. You know, fight monsters with monsters!

[Dipper looks really uncomfortable with this. Yeah, okay, makes sense for a GAME but not for REAL LIFE. Distinction between fantasy and reality, suddenly slamming Dipper in the face. But he's twelve so he just hugs his little Togepi and stares down at it.]

I'm pretty sure this little guy isn't meant to fight anything, Mabel.

[Mabel rolls her eyes. She has no such qualms about this.]

Pfft, you don't know that, Dipper. What if he turns into some crazy huge monster fighting monster that breathes rainbow flames? I mean, look at him, he's just a little baby, I bet he'll grow up to be something really cool!
